I’ve been meaning to give everyone a reason to pick their music back up, the way that shows & collabs used to give us a reason.
I emailed SSC as part of my ‘reaching out’ kick I been on reconnecting with new & old music homies. He dropped me a stack of like 50 instros, including the likes of GTNBI, XP and the unreleased IBN from back in the YV days.
Creep really lit a fire under my ass over the course of a few weeks to really help me trim the fat on the spirit of collaboration, and this mixtape is me planting a flag.
There’s still some stuff to do in the future to tie up some loose ends on a few tracks, but this page has been sitting dormant for a few weeks and I figured I’d at least throw it up while I wait on some features & some second-verse-syndrome tracks to find new life.

WIP/critiques:
- high score uses ‘Proof’s verse and hook, probably should keep that on Proof lol. It also has the Cal’lex tags from when I thought I was bringing that name back. And I’m overly manic screaming on the outro.
- lovesuccessabundance needs a second verse. Had a few ideas for Fts and stuff here but I’ll let it manifest.
- Everyman is sick but I think I need to memorize it and rap it smoother, and cut down some bars. I also need to redo that hook part and make it a real hook. I have a Ft waiting in the wings but we’ll see if that comes thru.
- Omen could use some mixing and editing. I’m happy with it but some of the high-to-low transitions are a bit jarring & I should quantize some of it.
- Bodo is recorded on iPhone, so there’s a lot of lip smacking and bad quality. I really like this one and I think I’m going to use it in the future as a cypher base.
- Blaake & I might further iterate on Patience, we have ideas.
Overall I had a lot of fun making this.
- I loooved gtnbi & xp so I’m happy to give them life, and ibn was one of the first ‘luzir’ style songs I ever did so I have a soft spot for it.
- Bodo was written during the time Ontario was fucking orange from the wildfires and Americans were complaining that it was blowing over the border. It felt cool to use as a metaphor for Creep being from Texas and me being from up here.
- Patience is dope, Blaake and I been on a kick lately and we have some fire shit coming soon.
- Everyman feels like a normal sequel to my like, boombap-diary ass songs.
- Omen was the first time I got to channel Slipknot in my music, which is something I’ve always wanted to do. I’m very happy that by doing that, I ended up doing some fucking weird Zebrahead-influenced shit instead of the Corey raps, and pull some killswitch screams inspired by the Post-Hardcore shit I been hella into the past few years. It was really cool. Creep & I have some more shit like that in the pipeline.
- High Score’s last verse was really cool to me. I wish I did this song better justice, but I think I need to stem it out and play with the beat more in order to inspire some more writtens out of me rather than using old verse & hook on it.
- lovesuccessabundance was inspired by a book I read, and I wrote it after an all nighter where at 6am I went and just laid on the grass in my backyard as the sun rose, and it was one of the last times in the year it was the right temperature for that to even happen. It shut my mind up for the first time in what feels like years. Like, peace and quiet. And not fleeting, but genuinely just… silence… for hours. I’ve been striing to get back to that, and that’s what I wrote the song about after a few days of missing that silence.
- Speak is fire. It’s so weird cuz it feels like some fuckin 2015 G-Eazy shit at times but then at other times it feels so proper. Like it goes from Fortnite Menu Music to fuckin sliding, and idk how to make it lean more into sliding lol. Also, I realized I might have bit Tips by T-Pain on the hook -.- fuck sakes
